An Appalachian Journey: Skyline Drive to the Great Smokies – Folk Music & Community Read
Our October Smithsonian series will conclude with an exploration of Appalachian music led by Literacy Director David Hazledine. The program will feature live performance and recordings from the Smithsonian Folkways Anthology of American Folk Music.
David will also share slides from a recent trip to Great Smoky Mountains National Park, providing a visual connection to the Appalachian landscape and culture that have inspired generations of musicians.
